The 2014 Ford Mustang U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds Edition has been recently sold for a whopping 398, 000 USD at the Young Eagles auction.
The impressive one-off 2014 Ford Mustang U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds Edition has managed to find a new owner recently, at the Young Eagles auction, who paid no less than 398,000 USD before being able to take his new ride home. The winning bidder is named James Slattery and he is from San Diego, California. Ford says that proceeds from the sale will go to the EAA Young Eagles program, which managed to train more than 1.6 million young people over the years and has been providing introductory flights ever since 1992.
According to the car manufacturer, the 2014 Ford Mustang U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds Edition is based on the 2014 Ford Mustang GT and it has been created in order to celebrate U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds’ 60th anniversary. The muscle car is finished in red, white and blue and it has a wide body kit, a glass roof, a sport tuned suspension, Brembo braking kit, a supercharger and 22-inch Forgiato alloy wheels. Interior updates include the Recaro seats, bespoke sill plates, new instrument cluster and more.
