A story which popped on Reddit recently is telling us that a 70-year old woman is currently using a Porsche 918 Spyder as a daily driver.
Most grandmothers don’t drive but if they do, than their vehicles are most likely boring, slow and extremely clean. But every once in a while, things turn out to be quite different because the model pictured above is actually owned by a 70-year old woman. This is an extremely powerful, expensive and rare Porsche 918 Spyder which is doing for this lady what every Porsche has done for its owner since time, proving that it can be used as a daily driver. We actually have no image of her behind the wheel but this apparently is her real ride.
The Porsche 918 Spyder is the company’s first hybrid hypercar and it is also its fastest and most powerful road-legal vehicle ever. It is rivaling the McLaren P1 and the Ferrari LaFerrari and it has been introduced back in 2013, during the Frankfurt Motor Show. The hypercar has a two-door roadster body style, along with a mid-engine and all-wheel drive layout. It is using a 4.6 liter V8 engine with two electric motors, mounted on the front and rear axle, producing a total output of 887 HP (661 kW) and 1,275 Nm (940 lb-ft) of torque. The 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) acceleration takes just 2.6 seconds and top speed stands at 340 km/h (210 mph).
