The South Korean based automaker Hyundai has recently released a teaser image with a 708 HP version of the Sonata, which will be unveiled at the 2014 SEMA Motor Show.
Hyundai is getting ready for one of the most important automotive events for the end of this year which will take place in the United States, the 2014 SEMA Motor Show, with a new creation. We are talking about a one-off vehicle which has been jointly-developed with Bisimoto Engineering, based on a Hyundai Sonata. The model in question has been equipped with a 2.4 liter four-cylinder unit, equipped with a Turbonetics turbocharger, with a Golden Eagle intake manifold, a Spearco intercooler and so on.
The engine has also received the R&R connecting rods, the Arias forged pistons, Deatschwerks fuel injectors, Magnafuel 750 fuel pump, AEM Infinity 6 ECU and so on. Thanks to these modifications, it is capable of producing no less than 708 HP (528 kW). Power is being sent to the wheels through a six-speed manual transmission. Besides the impressive output, the one-off Sonata is also coming with an aerodynamic styling package, with 18-inch aluminum wheels, a custom wrap, a coilover suspension system, a roll cage, AEM wideband gauges, Racepack IQ3 digital instrument cluster and others. The 708 HP Hyundai Sonata will be officially unveiled on the 4th of November.
