When we hear the “Supersport” name and the context involves a car our mind jumps to the Bugatti Veyron’s 1.000+ horsepower but the ultimate car with this name is coming from an Asian country which isn’t Japan, or South Korea.
Thailand is best known for “extra-curricular” activities like the Thai massage but the Asian country is coming forward with a new track toy, named the Supersport and made by 999Motorsports.
Power to the Supersport is coming from a mid-mounted 2.0 liter turbo-charged engine, with four cylinders, mated to a five-speed sequential transmission which is sending power to the rear wheels. The 2.0 liter unit is delivering 300 horsepower and 350 Nm of torque (258 lb-ft).
The Supersport has a tubular chassis, a carbon fiber and fiberglass body and its sitting on 18 inch aluminum wheels, while the interior has a carbon fiber dashboard, racing seats with a six-point harness and an LCD instrument cluster.
The Asian manufacturer didn’t provide any extra information about the car except that it weighs 950 kg (2.095 lbs) so it should be pretty quick.
