Fiat’s tuning house Abarth is planning to introduce itself to India next year where the company’s models will be sold throughout the Fiat dealerships.
The Italian based automaker Fiat has big plans for its models and despite the economic crisis which is affecting the globe, the company is planning to increase its sales, and this might just happen because new strategies will be adopted. After announcing that the Jeep brand will be introduced to India next year, the Fiat Group is now telling us that the Abarth will arrive in the same Asian country almost the same time as its “over-seas brothers”.
The first models to be sold under the Abarth name in India will be the 500 Abarth and the Grande Punto Evo and these vehicles will try and find new owners through the Fiat dealerships which will get “Abarth Studios”. The 500 Abarth is probably one of the most popular models with the scorpion logos on its body out there but the small car won’t be the only one to be sold by the company in the Asian country and the Grande Punto Evo, with its 165 BHP 1.4L turbocharged engine, mated to a six-speed manual transmission, will also become available. More details on the Abarth going to India will be announced soon.
