The Abarth version of the recently unveiled Fiat 500X will be introduced by the end of next year, as the company has recently announced.
The announcement hasn’t been made in an official way but it is actually part of a report which has been published by the guys from Car Advice. According to our source, the company’s European Design boss, Roberto Giolito, the Abarth version of the Fiat 500X might be just what the doctor has ordered.
“The Abarth vision is not only based on 500s. So there’s more to come. The 500X is a good body for Abarth. I can say today this is a good item. It’s absolutely perfect in terms of drivability, control. The driving seat is perfectly measured to control the car. So the Abarth would be perfect”, said the company’s official.
The “hot crossover” will be instantly recognizable as it will be fitted with an aggressive body kit, with large exhaust pipes and with new wheels. The Abarth 500X might take on the Nissan Juke Nismo, which is coming with a 1.6 liter turbo unit, with 2015 HP, connected to a 6-speed manual or a CVT. The production version is believed to be introduced by the end of 2015. More details in it remain unknown for the moment.
