The Abarth 695 Biposto has turned out to be one successful ride as the number of orders have exceeded this year’s production capacity.
Officially unveiled during the 2014 Geneva Motor Show, back in March, and available for order since June of this year, the fastest street-legal car Abarth has ever put together, the 695 Biposto, has turned out to be one successful ride. According to the company, the number of orders placed for it are “far exceeding the production capacity for this year”. The first deliveries of the model are scheduled for the end of this year and in order to place it into the spotlights once again, the company has released a photo gallery.
The Abarth 695 Biposto has been equipped with a rear titanium roll bar, signed by Poggipolini, with a Brembo braking seats, an Akrapovic exhaust system, Extreme Shox adjustable shock absorbers, 18-inch OZ rims, four-point seatbelts and several other tweaks to help it stand out from a crowd. The small Italian hot hatch is taking its power from a 1.4 liter T-Jet engine, which is capable of producing no less than 190 HP (140 kW), at 5,500 rpm, and 250 Nm (194 lb-ft), at 3,000 rpm. The 997 kg weighing vehicle can reach 100 km/h (62 mph) from a standstill in 5.9 seconds and it can go all the way up to 230 km/h (143 mph).
