Abarth has recently announced that a new version of the 695, named the Fuori Serie, will be officially presented to the public on the 27th of September during the 2012 Paris Motor Show.
According to the Italian in-house tuner, the new 695 Fuori Series will offer a higher level of customization because future owners of the model will be able to talk with Abarth’s mechanics, engineers and designers in order to set out even the smallest details.
“With the ‘Fuori Serie’ programme, customers will have the chance to talk personally with the manufacturer to have their Abarths customised down to the smallest detail by a team of specialised Abarth designers, engineers and mechanics”, as the automaker is saying in its official press release.
The special edition of the Fiat 500 is getting a 1.4 liter four-cylinder engine, which is producing a total output of 180 HP (132 kW) at 5,500 rpm and it has a peak torque of 250 Nm (184 lb-f) in sport mode. The unit will be mated to the Abarth Competizione electrically-operated manual transmission with steering wheel mounted paddle shifters. The 695 Fuori Serie will be able to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in in less than 7 seconds, before reaching a top speed of 225 km/h. Additional details on the model will be announced at the French automotive event.
