Abarth Panda is on its way image

The Italian based automaker Fiat is planning to introduce a hot version of the Panda, with the Abarth logos on it, in the nearby future, with the model being expected to develop over 110 horsepower from the small two-cylinder engine, while the fuel consumption will remain impressive at 60 mpg.

According to the British autoexpress.co.uk website, Fiat might launch a hot version of the Panda sometimes in 2013, and the vehicle is expected to be powered by the small 875 cc two-cylinder turbo TwinAir engine which will generate at least 110 horsepower, allowing the car to accelerate from 0 to 62 mph in 8.5 seconds, putting a smile on mom’s face while she’ll be driving her kids to school.

Autoexpress.co.uk also says that the Abarth Panda is most likely to be priced around 15.000 GBP for the entry-level, and for the money customers will get the “classic” white and red paint scheme, along with an extensive body kit with large spoilers and wings, while sitting on 16 inch alloy wheels.

The Abarth Panda is expected to feature a new suspension which will lower the ride height and upgraded brakes, while the interior will be fitted with bucket seats, short-throw gearlever and a sports steering wheel and the Abarth logo insertions.
