Abarth has released more details about the new Punto Supersport and Fiat’s in-house tuner says that the model’s price starts at 21,900 euros, VAT included.
After being officially presented to the public at the Frankfurt Motor Show, the Abarth Punto Supersport is once again placed into the spotlights, this time with the company announcing more details about it. According to Abarth, the Punto Supersport is being distinguished from the base version by matte black accents, by the Grey Campovolo body stripes and by the 17-inch alloy wheels. The cabin of the high-performance model has been equipped with sport seats, Blue&Me connectivity system, automatic climate control, stainless steel pedals, leather wrapped steering wheel, unique floor mats and “electro chrome” trim.
The Abarth Punto Supersport is being powered by the 1.4 liter MultiAir engine which is developing a total output of 178 horsepower and it has a peak torque of 270 Nm (199 lb-ft), mated to a six-speed manual transmission. The Italian hot hatch can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 7.5 seconds before reaching a top speed of 216 km/h (134mph). The model is burning an average of 6.1 liters of fuel every 100 km (46.3 mpg UK / 38.5 mpg US) and it’s emitting 142 g/km. Production of the Punto Supersport will be limited to just 199 units.
