The aftermarket specialists at ABT Sportsline have recently unveiled their latest creation, the AS3, which is based on the new 2013 Audi A3 Sportback.
According to the tuning company, the new Audi A3 Sportback in question has received a redesigned rear spoiler, a rear skirt set with four-pipe exhaust, a large front lip spoiler, a reduced ride height (35 mm), a new braking system with 345 mm discs and a fresh set of 18- or 19-inch DR alloy wheels. The modifications mentioned above will help your car stand out from a crowd but goodies added on the AS3 by ABT Sportsline aren’t stopping here.
The new ABT AS3 is coming in two power boosts, for the 1.4 liter TFSI and for the 2.0 liter TDI. The petrol engine is now producing a total output of 160 HP (118 kW) and 250 Nm of torque (184 lb-ft), which is more than the standard 122 HP (90 kW) and 200 Nm of torque (148 lb-ft). The diesel version is also getting a power boost, and it’s now producing 170 HP (125 kW) and 360 Nm of torque (265 lb-ft), compared to the standard 150 HP (110 kW) and 320 Nm of torque (236 lb-ft). No pricing details on these upgrades have been announced yet.
