The new generation flagship version of the A5 line – the RS5 Coupe – has only been around for a few months, having been presented back in March at the Geneva Motor Show in Switzerland.
But Ingolstadt’s fans aren’t asleep and they surely want the best for their new performance coupe – and ABT is a tuner that’s known for being happy to oblige. ABT Sportsline seems to be the first aftermarket specialist in Germany to come up with a new upgrade for the two-door Audi Sport contender. The RS5 Coupe has 450 hp and 443 pound-feet (600 Newton-meters) of torque thanks to the newly minted biturbo 2.9-liter V6 – and ABT has extracted an additional 60 hp and 59 lb-ft (80 Nm) from the TFSI engine, unlocked for a grand total of 510 hp (375 kW) and 502 lb-ft (680 Nm).
The company is offering the upgrade for €4,760 (excluding VAT, but including assembly) at home in Germany. ABT has remained mum on performance – but we do know the regular model is capable of covering the 0-62 mph (0-100 kph) sprint in just 3.9 seconds, on its way towards the maximum speed of 174 mph (280 kph) once the optional dynamic package has been installed.
