One of the rarest supercars money can buy these days, the Lykan Hypersport, has been added to the Abu Dhabi police fleet recently.
If you thought that the Dubai police has absolutely no rival when it comes to its exotic rides, think again, because the Abu Dhabi one is coming in from behind pretty fast and the newest addition cannot go by unseen. This is a Lykan Hypersport which has been officially unveiled a few years back but it has become famous thanks to the new Furious 7 movie. The Abu Dhabi police fleet has taken delivery of the limited-run vehicle and this has received the police livery covering its body but it seems that no sirens will be added to it.
Chances are the exotic vehicle will be used in tourist areas and not for fighting crime, an idea “copied” from the Dubai police department. The model in question has been produced in just seven examples and, according to its creators, it is the third most expensive vehicle ever to have been produced, right after the Lamborghini Veneno and the one-off Maybach Exelero. The supercar costs no less than 3.4 million USD and it is making use of a flat six-cylinder twin turbo 3.7 liter (3,746 cc) made by RUF, which is capable of producing a total output of 740 HP (552 kW) and it has a peak torque of 960 Nm (708 lb-ft). The 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) acceleration takes 2.8 seconds and top speed stands at 385 km/h (239 mph). The Lykan Hypersport is made by W Motors, a Lebanese based company and this is the first Middle Eastern supercar.
