The German aftermarket specialist is well known for the fantastic BMW reworks – and this color combination is actually reminiscent of a M3 and M4 engine upgrade program that resulted in the 3.0L turbo six jumping from 425 hp to no less than 570 hp.
Well, this time around the aftermarket scenario is not just as filled with horsepower-driven adrenaline, though it comes with compliments from the chef and more power, sporty handling and better soundtrack. The German tuner’s brand JCW modification includes a 33 hp power increase from 231 PS (223hp) to 265 PS (261hp). If you lack the money for the steeply priced John Cooper Works, AC Schnitzer has you covered with a Cooper upgrade from 136 PS (134hp) to 170 PS (168hp) and a Cooper S jump from 192 PS (189hp) to 235 PS (232hp). The better heart is also assisted by a new suspension and visually that is established using the AC1 BiColor or Anthracite 19-inch alloys, shod in 215/35 or 225/35 tires. These updates are inclusive of the Hatch, Clubman and Cabriolet.
The upgrades continue with the new exhaust system, packing a “Track Mode” valve control with remote control for sound playfulness – and AC Schnitzer “Sport” or “Sport Black” tailpipe designs are here to signal the modifications. The Aachen-based tuner also reworked the beauty shots of the Mini using an aerodynamically efficient front splitter, décor set, rear “Technology & Design” sticker, rear skirt film, and the enticing red and green color combination.
