The famous German tuner called AC Schnitzer has pulled the wraps off a BMW X4 finished in a police livery.
The BMW X4 has recently received a new livery, signed by AC Schnitzer. The crossover has been finished in a police livery, as part of the TUNE IT! SAFE! Initiative by the Association of German Vehicle Tuners. This isn’t the first vehicle of this kind as we have seen the BMW 123d Coupe back in 2009, the MINI E, in 2010 and the BMW 428i Coupe last year.
Besides the police livery, the tuning company has also installed an aerodynamic body kit, a custom suspension spring which is lowering the ride height by 30 mm at the front and 25 mm at the rear, carbon fiber mirror caps, chromed exhaust pipes, Hella flashing lights, special police RTK 7 signaling system, custom key holder, velour floor mats, aluminum pedals and foot rest, different handbrake lever and several other tweaks.
As far as the engine goes, the 2.0 liter turbo four-cylinder unit is found under its hood. This is rated at 245 HP (180 kW) from the stock 184 HP (135 kW), allowing the model to reach 100 km/h (62 mph) from a standstill in 6.7 seconds. Top speed stands at 212 km/h (132 mph).
