Acura announcing 2014 RLX Sport Hybrid SH-AWD for L.A. Auto Show image

The brand new 2014 Acura RLX Sport Hybrid SH-AWD will be officially presented to the public next week, in a premiere, during the 2013 Los Angeles Auto Show.

Acura has recently announced the public debut of the new 2014 RLX Sport Hybrid SH-AWD, during the 2013 Los Angeles Auto Show, next week. According to the car manufacturer, the model in question will become the company’s new flagship sedan and it will also be the most technologically advanced Acura sedan even also the most powerful one.

“Acura’s first luxury sedan to use hybrid powertrain technology and electric-powered all-wheel-drive, the RLX Sport Hybrid SH-AWD delivers V8-like performance with 4-cylinder fuel economy, along with the outstanding handling and all-weather performance capabilities of Acura’s torque-vectoring Super-Handling All-Wheel Drive (SH-AWD) system”, as the carmaker is saying in its official press release.

The 2014 RLX Sport Hybrid SH-AWD is taking its power from a 3.5 liter i-VTEC V6 engine, backed up by three electric motors. The total output stands at 377 HP (281 kW) and it’s sent to the wheels through a 7-speed dual clutch transmission. The average fuel consumption in the car stands at 7.8L / 100km (36 mpg UK / 30 mpg US). The 2014 RLX Sport Hybrid SH-AWD will go on sale next year. more details on it will be announced in L.A.
