Acura has recently announced some new details on the upcoming NSX, which should go into production in the next couple of years in the United States.
The brand new Acura NSX is probably one of the most awaited vehicles to come from the brand and in order to place the model into the spotlights once again, the carmaker has released some more details on it. According to the car manufacturer, the new Acura NSX will be produced at the Performance Manufacturing Center in Ohio. Acura says that the company will soon begin selecting and training employees in order to build the supercar.
“Thirty years ago, building cars in America was a big dream. Working together, here in Ohio and across North America we turned this dream into reality. The location of this facility is in the midst of one of the greatest collections of engineering and production talent in the world. So it makes sense that we will renew the dream and build this high-tech, supercar in Marysville, Ohio”, said the Honda of America CEO and president, Hidenobu Iwata.
The new Acura NSX is scheduled to go into production in 2015. The model will get a mid-mounted V6 engine and an SH-AWD (Sport Hybrid Super Handling All Wheel Drive) system. The model will also get two electric motors and a dual-clutch transmission. More details on the model will be announced close to its debut.
