It’s been just a few days since the first report indicating a hot version of the Acura NSX’s new generation and now we can see such a model in a new rendering released over the web.
The Acura NSX is one of the most awaited vehicles of the year and after being officially presented to the public during the 2015 North American International Auto Show, last week, time has come to talk about its even hotter version, the Type R. The model in question has been hinted by the company’s chief engineer, a few days ago, and it is said to get a more aggressive design and, of course, more power squeezed out of its hybrid engine.
We are still not sure about the full specifications of the Acura NSX’s production version because the car manufacturer has released just a few details on this topic, but according to it, power will be provided by a V6 twin turbo engine, producing more than 550 HP. This will be backed up by no less than three electric motors and power will be sent to both axles, forming the so-called Sport Hybrid Super Handling All-Wheel Drive. Two electric motors are mounted up front for torque vectoring and the other one is fitted to the rear, between the new 9-speed dual clutch transmission and the petrol burner. The new NSX stands at 4,470 mm long, 1,940 mm wide and 1,215 mm tall, with a 2,630 mm long wheelbase. Pricing of the supercar is believed to start from just 150,000 USD.
