Acura has recently released the first picture of the NSX prototype, ahead of its public debut, which has been scheduled to make its public debut on the 4th of August.
The Acura NSX is one of the most awaited sports cars to come from Japan and the model has already been teased and hinted over these past few years, but now the NSX is getting closer and closer to its future customers. Acura has placed the NSX into the spotlights once again, this time with the help of a teaser image, which is showing a prototype version of the NSX while it’s being tested.
The image in question has been posted on the company’s official Twitter account and it reveals that the car is actually very similar to the updated NSX concept which made its public debut just earlier this year during the 2013 Detroit Motor Show (NAIAS). The model in question has new headlights, restyled air intakes and larger side mirrors. The pre-production prototype will be officially unveiled on the 4th of August, at the Mid-Ohio Indy 200. The model in question should be powered by a V6 mid-mounted engine, backed up by two electric motors, powering the front wheels. Additional details on the model remain unknown for the moment.
