The Japanese luxury automaker has decided to make TLX owners and fans just a little bit happier – with the upcoming SEMA including the new GT Package of accessories for the sedan.
The GT Package will become available for the 2016 and 2017 model years, and won’t be featuring some of the TLX’s racing prowess when the owner parks the car in the garage because they’re all about styling – not performance substance. The basic version of the GT Package will cost $1, 717 and packs elements such as a subtle rear trunk lid spoiler, a little something for the lower portion of the back bumper, more aggressive side sills, and updated front splitter. On the other hand, the GT Package Plus Wheel and Tire Kit also comes with a set of 19-inch alloys – but this version comes at a hefty price increase of $4,810.
The upgrades will be on offer for all versions of the TLX – the sedan can be specified with a 2.4-liter 206-horsepower (154-kilowatt) four-cylinder paired to an eight-speed dual-clutch transmission. For more oomph go towards the 3.5-liter V6 with 290 hp (216 kW) paired with a nine-speed automatic – and this one can be had in both front- or all-wheel drive configurations.
