Alfa Romeo has recently announced its plans to offer the final production version in the United States, where the model should arrive before the end of the year.
After it was spied testing on public roads ahead of the 2013 NAIAS, the final production version of the Alfa Romeo 4C is being placed into the spotlights once again, this time with the help of the company’s boss, Sergio Marchionne, who has announced that the model will go on sale across the United States. According to Marchionne, the Alfa Romeo 4C should arrive in dealerships across the country by the end of this year.
The final production version of the Alfa Romeo 4C is expected to get a 1.8 liter four-cylinder turbocharged engine, which should produce a total output of approximately 230 HP (172 kW)m, mated to a dual clutch transmission. The Alfa Romeo 4C should be able to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in just over 4 seconds, before reaching a top speed of 250 km/h (155 mph). Additional details on the final production version of the Alfa Romeo 4C are limited for the moment but the model might be unveiled during the 2013 Geneva Motor Show in March or even in New York.
