Alfa Romeo has recently confirmed the official time for lapping the Nurburgring, which was 8 minutes and 4 seconds.
The 8 minutes and 4 seconds needed for the Alfa Romeo 4C in order to complete a lap on the Nurburgring are confirming the report which made its way onto the web just a few weeks ago. The Nurburgring time of the Alfa Romeo was made with Horst von Saurma behind the wheel and the 4C was equipped with Pirelli “AR” P Zero Trofeo tires, which were specially developed for this car over the course of a few months.
“The new Alfa Romeo 4C has lapped the legendary Nordschleife at the historic Nurburgring circuit in Germany in a record-breaking time of 8 minutes 04 seconds, the fastest time of cars with engines under 250 HP and in line with times set by sports cars with much higher prices and more powerful engines”, as the carmaker says in its official press release.
The Alfa Romeo 4C is a two-seater rear-wheel drive coupe, weighing 895 kg (1,973 lbs). The vehicle is taking its power from a 1.75-liter four-cylinder engine, which is good for 240 HP (177 kW) and 350 Nm (258 lb-ft) of torque. The 0 to 100 km/h sprint takes 4.5 seconds and top speed stands at 258 km/h (160 mph).
