New details on the upcoming Alfa Romeo 4C have hit the web once again and we now know the total output produced by its engine and its starting price, which will be close to the Cayman’s.
After being caught testing on public roads quite a lot in late 2012 and this year, the brand new Alfa Romeo 4C is being placed into the spotlights once again, this time with more details on it made public. According to the guys at Car Scoop, who are quoting a Swiss dealer who is a reader of their website, during an Alfa Romeo meeting held not too long ago, new details on the final production version of the 4C have been announced.
According to our source, the 1.7 liter turbocharged inline four-cylinder engine will produce 237 HP (240 PS) in the base entry-level version or 266 HP (270 PS) in the more powerful “Racing” variant or in the road-legal Stradale. The total weight of the Alfa Romeo 4C is expected to stand at 850 kg (1,874 pounds) thanks to its carbon fiber chassis. The price of the 4C targeted by Alfa Romeo will be set between 56,000 and 64,000 euros, which is close to the Porsche Cayman. The final production version of the Alfa Romeo 4C is expected to be unveiled in Geneva, next month.
