The Italian based automaker Fiat has recently released more details and images with the Alfa Romeo 4C, ahead of the model’s debut scheduled for the 2013 Geneva Motor Show, in March.
The Fiat Group says that the Alfa Romeo 4C will go on sale in markets across the globe, including the United States and Europe, and on the Old Continent, the model is expected to be priced at approximately 60,000 euros, which is significantly more expensive than the 50,000 euros planned initially. A limited run of 2,500 units of the Alfa Romeo 4C will be made annually, out of which 1,000 will be sold in the United States, 1,000 in Europe and the rest in other markets worldwide.
The final production version of the mid-engine 4C will be 4,000 mm long, 2,000 mm wide and 1,180 mm tall, riding on a wheelbase of 2,400 mm. The model will get a 1.75 turbocharged direct injection engine under its hood. The 4C will weigh approximately 850 kg and this means that the power-to-weight ratio will stand below 4kg / HP. Additional details on the Alfa Romeo 4C are limited for the moment and will be announced during the 2013 Geneva Motor Show, next month.
