The Italian based automaker Alfa Romeo is planning to develop a roadster version of the 4C sports car which is expected to hit the market sometimes in 2015.
Alfa Romeo may keep the 4C Roadster into the shadows for the moment but according to the guys at autocar.co.uk and their latest report, the Italian sports car is expected to hit the market sometimes in 2015, precisely one year after the coupe version of the model will arrive at dealerships near you. According to our source, the Alfa Romeo 4C Roadster will be more expensive than the coupe versin, which has been priced at 45,000 euros (35,470 pounds / 55,180 USD).
Unfortunately we don’t have any more details on the Alfa Romeo 4C Roadster but the coupe version of the Italian sports car will get a fiberglass reinforced plastic body and under the hood we will find a 1.8 liter four-cylinder turbocharged engine, which will produce a total output of 296 horsepower (300 PS / 221 kW), which will be mated to a dual-cluthc transmission. The Alfa Romeo 4C Coupe will be able to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 4.5 seconds. The same configuration is expected to be applied to the Alfa Romeo 4C Roadster too.
