Alfa Romeo collaborates with London tailor Hawes & Curtis image

They’re coming up with a… high-performance wool suit, waterproof and inspired by the almost forgotten Giulietta compact hatchback – which has been eclipsed lately by the Giulia and Stelvio.

With carbon fiber buttons, red stitching, waterproof exterior and mesh interior to regulate heat – we could very well be talking about a sports car, but instead we’re dealing with the suit made by British tailor using Italian wool, to mandate the Alfa Romeo – Hawes & Curtis collaboration. The latter renowned London tailor has drawn inspiration from the Alfa Romeo Giulietta compact hatchback – with the premium suit tailored to be both waterproof and able to regulate temperature on hot and cold days. They used an unknown water resistant “finish” on the wool, as well as a mesh lining inspired by the Guiletta’s grille to regulate body temperature – while red stitching and carbon fiber pays homage to the automotive roots.

There are even more Alfa Romeo signature accessories aside from the suit’s carbon fiber buttons. We can name a few – tie and tie clip, cufflinks, and lapel pins. For the ladies, Hawes & Curtis will make a matching white shirt with “the fluid lines of the car” along with some red stitching. No details about price or availability – so expect it to cost a good amount. That being said, a nice suit is a great accessory for your auto – we’ve certainly seen plenty of bad ideas before.
