It may not be aimed towards production at this point but that doesn’t mean we cannot take a closer look at it thanks to the image posted above.
Ever since the new Alfa Romeo Giulia has been unveiled more than a month ago, the company’s fans have went wild on it and despite being shown in the range-topping Quadrifoglio Verde variant, in a single body style, a four-door sedan, this hasn’t stopped rendering artists from imagining how this might look like in almost all versions possible. The image posted above is another rendering, signed by X-Tomi Design, and it is revealing the so-called Giulia CrossWagon, which will go up against the Audi A4 Allroad, if it will receive the green lights for production.
Notice the more practical rear end, along with the slightly sloping roofline, the raised suspension system, the black finished underbody protection, the black front splitter, wheel arches and side skirts. Alfa has already offered such an off-road focused vehicle, in the shape of the 156 CrossWagon, so don’t act too surprised if you will see the Giulia in a similar version. The current model is aimed towards the BMW M3, the Mercedes-AMG C63 S and the upcoming Audi RS4. It is making use of a turbocharged engine, with six cylinders and a total output of 503 HP (375 kW), sent to the rear wheels. From 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph), the model needs just 3.9 seconds. The public debut of the car will be made at the 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show, in September.
