Alfa Romeo has released the first official teaser image with the upcoming Giulia, which is just a day from its online unveil.
Back in 2014, the car manufacturer has announced that the new Giulia will be unveiled on the 24th of June and now the Italian based marque is releasing the first ever teaser image with the car. It’s hard to tell at this time how the new Giulia will be looking like because the image posted above has been blurred but expect the characteristic triangle front grille, the sharp front air intakes, the aggressive lines towards the rear and an overall design which will be more than appealing.
Rumor has it that under its hood we will be finding the 2.0 liter petrol four-cylinder turbocharged engine, with MultiAir variable valve timing, which should produce between 180 HP and 330 HP, being connected to a manual or an automatic transmission. There will also be a 2.2 liter four-cylinder turbocharged diesel, which will be offered as an entry-level version, producing between 135 HP and 210 HP. Initial rumors were saying that the 3.0 liter twin turbo V6 engine signed by Maserati will be used under its hood and this is expected to produce between 480 HP (358 kW) and 520 HP (387 kW). With this engine under its hood, the Alfa Romeo Giulia will become a rival for the Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG and for the BMW M3, amongst others. Additional details on it are limited at this time.
