It has been just a few weeks ago that Alfa Romeo has pulled off the wraps off the Giulia but we still don’t have a clue on its official performance figures.
This is going to change very fast because according to a recent report, the range-topping version of the performance sedan is capable of reaching 100 km/h (62 mph) from a standstill in just 3.9 seconds. Top speed will stand at an impressive 321 km/h (200 mph) and this basically means that it will be faster than its main rivals, the BMW M3 and the Mercedes-AMG C63 S. Rumor has it that the vehicle has been tested on the Nurburgring too and an official lap time is going to be posted shortly.
The Alfa Romeo Giulia is the official successor of the 159. The model in question has been unveiled recently in its range-topping version, the Quadrifoglio Verde, and it is going up against the competitors mentioned above and not only. The performance sedan is making use of a Ferrari sourced engine, which has been mounted in the front, with six cylinders turbocharged, which is said to produce a total output of 503 HP (375 kW). Power is being sent to the rear wheels. The new Alfa model will be offered for sale by the end of this year but first it will be making its public debut this September, during the 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show. More details on it are expected to be announced at the German automotive event.
