The Italian based automaker Alfa Romeo has recently announced that 140.000 units of the Giulietta model have been sold in 1.5 years.
According to the car manufacturer, 90 percent of the Giulietta customers in 2011 have chosen higher trim levels and after 1.5 years in production, the model had been sold in 140.000 units. Alfa Romeo is also saying that the Giulietta managed to win 2.8 percent from the European market, 14.5 percent from the Italian market and the model helped the brand to expand its market share in Europe from 0.8 to 1 percent.
In 2011 alone, 80.000 units of the Alfa Romeo Giulietta were sold, out of which 35.000 in Italy. French customers have also chosen the model, and in 2011 the Giulietta had found 9.200 new owners in the country, while in Great Britain 7.100 units were sold. 6.300 units of the model were also sold in Germany and the whole figure is rising to 140.000 units since its launch.
According to the Italian car manufacturer, the Alfa Romeo Giulietta was mostly bought by customers averaging 40 years old, college graduates, with families. The most appreciated Giulietta was the 1.6 liter Multijet with 105 HP (15 percent).
