The first ever SUV to be signed by the Italian based brand is just around the corner.
Rumors on Alfa Romeo planning to introduce its first ever SUV have been around for quite a few years now but it seems that its development is bringing it closer and closer to being green lighted. The model in question is believed to share the same underpinnings and engine lineup with the recently unveiled Giulia and this can only mean that it will become one hot ride. Its main competitors will be the BMW X3, shop the Mercedes-Benz GLC, stuff the Audi Q5 and others in the segment.
Before rushing over to your local dealership to ask how you can buy one, malady you should know that the images posted below are nothing more than simple renderings, which have been put together by RMCarDesign. The looks of the model have been inspired by the Giulia and this will be riding on the same rear-wheel drive platform of the midsized vehicle. The entry-level premium SUV market is a fast-growing sector and Alfa Romeo is keen to enter it. Under the hood of the vehicle, the engine lineup which will be found on the Giulia will be eventually adopted and this also includes the range-topping version, which might be wearing the QV badges on its body, getting the turbocharged V6 engine, signed by Ferrari, delivering approximately 500 HP. The Alfa Romeo SUV is believed to be unveiled sometimes next year.
