A newcomer to the Lexus line-up with the GS badge on it has been unveiled at the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance in California, with a more aggressive design which is set to characterize the future models of the Japanese auto maker.
According to the manufacturer, the new GS has a fresh platform which is more rigid than the current chassis, 44mm wider at the front and 50mm at the rear. Lexus says that the new version of the GS has improved agility, steering precision and ride comfort thanks to the platform and the use of lightweight materials.
The 2012 GS250 is powered by a 2.5 liter V6 engine and Lexus also announces a hybrid model, under the GS450h name, which will be equipped with a larger 3.5 liter V6 and an electric motor.
Lexus has truly improved the GS with starting with the ambient interior lighting and going to the 25 percent extra space in the boot, going on the market against powerful rivals like the Mercedes, BMW or Audi.
