After a lot of rumors about an M135i version, now we have something almost official – no there’s no official press release but we have the accessories price list.
As you can see in the screenshots below, there’s mention of the 135i, the 135i xDrive, and the M135i. In addition there are no M Sport bumpers on the list – likely because both models come standard with them.
The M135i will join the new BMW M Performance cars family and be sold along the M550d, X5 M50d and X6 M50d models. The rear-wheel drive and gasoline-powered M135i will be offered in the fall in both three and five door configuration.
Initially, at least, the petrol powered M135i will be rear-wheel drive in both three and five-door configurations. Later in 2012 an xDrive version will also be launched Bimmerpost reports.
Under the hood, the M135i xDrive will house a twin-turbo 3.0-liter engine that generates around 322 hp (240 kW, 326 PS) and up to 450 Nm (332 ft-lb) of torque. Power is passed to the wheels via a six-speed manual or a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic.
