Alpha-N Performance has decided to have a go with the brand new BMW i8, modifying the hybrid sports car with the M3 E92 in its head.
Did you think that owning a hybrid supercar is extremely boring if you can’t afford a Ferrari LaFerrari, a McLaren P1 or a Porsche 918 Spyder? Well, take that thought out of your head because there are other hot vehicles out there which have the chance of becoming even hotter. One of these cars is the new BMW i8, which, thanks to the guys at Alpha-N Performance, looks even better than the standard version. Keep in mind that it’s not sure if the company will offer such upgrades for the model.
At first, we can notice the extra carbon fiber spoiler, at the front, the large rear wing and the new golden alloy wheels. Some other minor tweaks have been made to the German hybrid sports car but if Alpha-N Performance decides to offer the upgrade package for sale, more details will be announced. Meanwhile, we will tell you that the i8 has a 1.5 liter three-cylinder TwinPower Turbo engine, with 231 HP (170 kW) and 320 Nm (236 lb-ft) of torque. This is backed up by an electric motor, generating 131 HP (96 kW) and 250 Nm (184 lb-ft). The total output developed stands at 362 HP (266 kW) and 570 Nm (420 lb-ft) of torque.
