The Alpina B6 xDrive Gran Coupe will be officially presented to the public, later on this year, during the 2014 New York Auto Show.
Alpina didn’t choose the Geneva Motor Show in order to pull the wraps off the new B6 xDrive Gran Coupe as the tuning company specialized on modifying BMWs will be introducing this model at the 2014 New York Auto Show. The new Alpina B6 xDrive Gran Coupe has received an aerodynamic body kit, made out of the front spoiler, rear diffuser and trunk mounted spoiler, amongst others, along with the stainless steel sports exhaust system or the 20-inch Alpina Classic alloy wheels.
The model in question will become available in two color choices, the Alpina Green or the Alpina Blue, and the cabin will be equipped with the Lavalina leather upholstery, with Piano Black trim, Myrtle wood, illuminated door sill plates, the Alpina badge on the steering wheel, revised instrumentation and more. Power to the Alpina B6 xDrive Gran Coupe is provided by a 4.4L twin turbo V8 engine, which is rated at 540 HP (402 kW) and 731 Nm (540 lb-ft) of torque. The unit is mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission, allowing the model to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just under 4 seconds before reaching a top speed of 318 km/h (198 mph). Prices for this vehicle will start at 118,225 USD.
