Alpina has officially pulled the wraps off the new B6 xDrive Gran Coupe, during the 2015 New York Auto Show.
Alpina’s newest creation is called the B6 xDrive Gran Coupe and it has been officially presented to the public at the 2015 New York Auto Show. The model is getting a new front fascia with the different front spoiler and the new grille, the new hood, the standard LED Adaptive Headlights with the High Beam Assist, the blue brake calipers and so on.
“2015 also marks the 50th anniversary of ALPINA Automobiles. To recognize the anniversary, the BMW ALPINA B6 Gran Coupe will make its North American debut at the NYIAS, displayed alongside the 1970 BMW 2002ti ALPINA”, said BMW in its official press release.
The new Alpina B6 xDrive Gran Coupe is taking its power from the 4.4 liter twin turbo V8 engine. This has been tuned in order to produce 60 HP (45 kW) and 67 Nm (50 lb-ft) of torque more than before. It basically means that the total output stands at 600 HP (447 kW) and 799 Nm (590 lb-ft) of torque. The unit is connected to the 8-speed automatic transmission which is sending power to the all-wheel drive system. From 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph), the model in question needs 3.7 seconds and the top speed stands at 321 km/h (200 mph).
