Alpina has recently released more details on the brand new 2014 D3 Bi-Turbo, ahead of the model’s official debut scheduled for the 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show, on September 10.
After it was officially announced for the 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show, the new 2014 Alpina D3 Bi-Turbo is being placed into the spotlights once again, this time with the BMW tuner releasing some more details with the model. According to the company, the 3.0 liter straight six-cylinder twin-turbo engine, from the XD3 and D5 models, will also be offered on the D3 Bi-Turbp too, which is Euro 6 compliant and it’s producing a total output of 345 HP (257 kW) and 700 Nm of torque (516 lb-ft).
The new Alpina D3 Bi-Turbo can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in just 4.6 seconds, before reaching a top speed of 278 km/h (173 mph). The Alpina D3 Bi-Turbo will also be offered as a Touring and this will be capable of burning an average of just 5.3 L / 100 km (53.3 mpg UK / 44.3 mpg US). RWD will be offered as standard and AWD being optional. Additional details on the brand new 2014 Alpina D3 Bi-Turbo are limited for the moment and will be announced in Frankfurt.
