Premium automaker Audi is working on an even more powerful version of the TT RS (Plus version), specially designed for the U.S. market.
According to the screenshot from the latest version of ETKA service manual, the TT RS Plus will have 20 more hp compared to the actual TT RS. By the looks of it, the engine will remain as the same 2.5-litre, five-cylinder turbocharged unit as the standard TT RS.
Reports also say that the model could also be a special edition like the Audi R8 GT and come fitted with various lightweight parts, such as carbon fiber wings and panel trimmings.
The leaked document states that the car will be introduced in May.
The 20 extra horsepower is created by ECU tuning and is only available on the limited run of less than 1,000 models to be sold in the US. The Americans will not get the available Recaro sport seats.
The Audi TT-RS Plus will arrive in the U.S. this summer as a 2012 model.
