ANCAP has recently announced that the Ford Mondeo, the Lexus NX and the Toyota Prius V have all achieved a maximum five-star safety rating, after the latest crash tests.
The new generation of the Ford Mondeo is proving out to be one safe ride, beside that appealing looks, the technology found on it and the wide engine lineup as the model in question has recently managed to score a five-star safety rating from ANCAP (Australian New Car Assessment Program). The vehicle is getting a long list of safety features which include the inflatable rear seatbelts, the emergency calling feature which is notifying the emergency services in case of an accident, the side airbags for the first and second row of seats and several other goodies.
Another new vehicle which should be checked up when ordering a new car is the Lexus NX. The Japanese crossover has also managed to obtain a maximum of five stars during the most recent crash tests performed by Australian New Car Assessment Program. The model in question has been praised a lot for its safety gizmos, which also include the AEB (Autonomous Emergency Braking), available on the higher-end versions. Last but not least, the same five-star safety rating is also applying to the Toyota Prius V in all variants sold since 2012. The hybrid vehicle is also carrying a long list of safety features which are meant to help protect the occupants and the pedestrians in case of an impact.
