Ansar Ali No Longer Caterham’s CEO image

Ansar Ali, Caterham Group CEO, quit his position ‘by mutual consent’, as the company declared.

Graham Macdonald, former Caterham Chief Financial Officer, took Ansar Ali’s place. Ansar Ali has been with the company for seven years, and during his time as CEO he managed to relaunch the Caterham Seven range and offer long-term stability of Caterham Cars.

“Without his leadership Caterham Cars would not be the world renowned, profitable business it is today and we would almost certainly not be working under the Caterham name if he had not initiated the discussions with us that led to the enviable position Caterham finds itself in today”, said Group’s chairman Tony Fernandes.

Graham Macdonald, the new CEO, has also been with the company for 7 years, and Fernandes considers him to be the perfect person to take over the leadership of the company, and that hi dedication and experience will help Caterham Cars make a smooth transition into the following chapter of the company’s story.

Team Lotus Enterprise bought Caterham Cars in 2011, making it the fourth business, besides Team Lotus Formula One squad, EQ8 energy drink and Team Lotus merchandise. The men behind Team Lotus Enterprise are Tony Fernandes, Kamarudin Meranun and SM Nasarudin.
