The future generation of the Skoda Octavia appears to be teased during a presentation for the Rapid in a mysterious image.
The Czech based automaker Skoda might try to keep the future generation of the Octavia into the shadows for the moment but, call it a mistake or a marketing strategy, the model appears to have leaked during a presentation for the all-new Rapid model. According to the guys at automobile-magazine.fr, the future generation of the Skoda Octavia was showed in a mysterious image and the model in question seems to be heavily influenced by the VisionD concept, with its steeply-raked tailgate, distinctive greenhouse and angular headlights.
The Skoda officials didn’t say anything about this rumor just yet and from experience we know that when a car manufacturer isn’t saying “no, this isn’t it”, it has a huge chance of being exactly what the initial rumor was suggesting. But, after all, rumor or no rumor, the future generation of the Skoda Octavia will be based on the MQB modular platform, the same one which debuted on the 2013 Audi A3 and also the same one which will underpin the 2014 Volkswagen Golf VII.
