An image with what seems to be the final production version of the BMW i3 has made its way onto the web recently.
The BMW i3 is starting to keep headlines more often these days even if its official presentation will be made during the 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show in September, which is almost six month away. After find out its expected starting price across the Old Continent, which will probably be set at 35, 000 euros, time has come to see the final production version of the BMW i3 for the first time. The image posted above has been posted by autofilou.blogspot.in and it’s showing the production version of the model during its photo shoot.
When it will hit the market, the BMW i3 is expected to get a rear-mounted electric motor, mated to a lithium-ion battery pack, which will produce a total output of 170 HP. The model will be able to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in less than 8 seconds, before reaching a top speed of 150 km/h. The total range of the BMW i3 will stand around 160 km (100 miles) and charging time will be 6 hours for 100 percent or almost 1 hour for 80 percent.
