An image with what is said to be the first official one with the successor of the Gallardo, the Huracan, has recently hit the web, providing us with a first look into the upcoming supercar.
The development of a successor for the popular Lamborghini Gallardo is no longer a surprise for anyone as the Italian based automaker Lamborghini is currently teasing it every few days and spy photographers capture it on camera more often than ever. But what we don’t know for now is how the model in question will look like, because this is a very well kept secret, probably until now, when an allegedly leaked image has made its way onto the web. We’re not sure if this is the real deal or not but we must admit that it does look very appealing.
The successor of the Lamborghini Gallardo will be known as the Huracan and not the Cabrera, as it was thought initially. The model is taking its name from the Mayan word for “god of fire, wind and storms”, which was adopted by the Spanish as their word for hurricane. The Huracan will share its platform and some underpinnings with the new Audi R8 generation but the two vehicles will be completely different. As far as the engine goes, a 600 HP (447 kW) 5.2 liter naturally aspirated V10 is expected to make its way onto the model. Additional details on the supercar remain unknown for the moment.
