The Arial Nomad has been officially unveiled ahead of its public debut which will be taking place at the Autosport International, next January.
Ariel Motor Company’s newest creation has been named the Nomad. The model in question has been recently unveiled and it is basically an off-roader, with a higher ground clearance, a long travel suspension, a reinforced chassis, complex rollover suspension system, 15-inch alloy wheels wrapped in 235/70 tires and several other tweaks to help it stand out from a crowd. The carmaker is stating that the production version will be offered with a variety of rims and tires.
The brand new Ariel Nomad is also getting the mechanical limited slip differential as standard, but for an extra cost, some more high tech systems will become available. The vehicle is taking its power from a 2.4 liter four-cylinder engine, made by Honda, which is capable of producing a total output of 200 HP (149 kW). This is sent to the wheels through a 6-speed manual transmission, which is also Honda sourced. The curb weight of the vehicle has been estimated at 700 kg and a starting price of approximately 30,000 GBP. More details on the model are limited at this time.
