Latvian based tuner Dartz has just unveiled an armored version of the impressive Mercedes-Benz G63 AMG 6×6.
Drug lords and dictators from all over the world, welcome to the presentation of your future vehicle: the armored Mercedes-Benz G63 AMG 6×6. The model in question has a familiar design as this has been inspired by the Cougar 6×6 MRAP (Mine Resistant Ambush Protected), seen in the Die Hard movie, last year. You get the picture, it has armor plating and it will protect you against most projectiles, keeping you safe while you deliver your next batch of coke.
Besides armoring this impressive Mercedes-Benz G63 AMG, the tuning company has also increased the output of the 5.5 liter V8 twin turbo engine to a whopping 1,019 HP (749 kW) and more than 1,000 Nm (738 lb-ft) of torque. This power is definitely needed considering the fact that the standard version weighs 3,850 kg (8,487 lbs) and this modified one probably comes close to the 5,000 kg (11,000 lbs) mark. The asking price for the armored version stands at 2.4 million euros but you can always get the unarmored variant for “just” 1.5 million euros.
