Aston Martin has recently pulled the wraps off its latest creation, the DB9 1M, which has been mate to celebrate the one millionth Facebook fan.
With the AM 310 Vanquish ending up in our news almost daily, Aston Martin has thought that time has come for another model to be highlighted, a very special one which has been made in order to celebrate the company’s one millionth Facebook fan. According to the British based automaker, the DB9 1M has been made through a series of polls which asked its fans to pick the vehicle’s design, trim and name. What came out of that idea is the best example of why the automotive industry only has qualified people because, let’s be honest, the Aston Martin DB9 1M isn’t very attractive.
The “new” British supercar is coming with an “Aero” wrap, 20-inch diamond-turned alloy wheels which are covering the brake calipers and Obsidian Black / Spicy Red leather upholstery along with piano black trim in the cabin. Power to the Aston Martin DB9 1M is coming from a 6.0 liter V12 engine which is developing a total output of 470 horsepower and 600 Nm of torque (443 lb-ft). The unit is mated to a six-speed automatic transmission which is allowing the model to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.8 seconds, before reaching a top speed of 300 km/h (186 mph).
