Aston Martin kicks off AMR sub-brand with the Vantage AMR image

The British exotic manufacturer decided it needs a new AMR sub-brand to market its more hardcore versions and we got the announcement alongside a previewing prototype at the Geneva Motor Show back in March.

Now they are kicking off officially the marque with Vantage AMR now presented as a production series model – this one comes to honor the company’s participation in the FIA World Endurance Championship, with the special edition packing a wide range of goodies. The Gaydon brand offers the Vantage AMR in the two-tone combination of choice – Scintilla Silver with Grey, Ultramarine Black with Blue, Stratus White with Orange, and Zaffre Blue with Red. There’s also an optional “Halo Pack” that mixes a Stirling Green paint with bright Lime Green accents, a nod to the WEC-winning #95 Vantage GTE from 2016.

The cockpit is also fully ready for personalization, with all models getting for starters carbon fiber seats, a mix of leather and Alcantara for the coupe – meanwhile the roadster version is all-leather. The Halo Pack will add a touch of Lime Green accenting. Production of the Vantage AMR is going to be capped at 300 units, and 100 of them will be available with the mighty V12 engine that also comes with a power increase of 30 horsepower to 595 hp – the rest get the 430 hp V8. Both engines will be available to a choice of automated sequential manual gearboxes or to six- and seven-speed manuals.
