A new version of the brand new Aston Martin Vanquish, the drop-top Volante, has been recently caught on camera while being tested in cold weather.
Rumors on the British based automaker planning a roadster version of the brand new Vanquish have been around ever since the model was unveiled, a year ago, and now the new supercar is ending up in our news for the first time. The images posted below have been made in Northern Sweden, where the Aston Martin Vanquish Volante has been tested in cold weather. The model will get a retractable fabric roof, which will fold down between the passenger compartment and the booth area.
The upcoming supercar will use the same 6.0 liter 6.0 liter V12 engine, which is developing a total output of 565 BHP and 620 Nm of torque (457 lb-ft), mated to a Touchtronic 2 six-speed automatic transmission which is sending power to the rear-wheel drive. The regular Vanquish can accelerate from 0 to 62 mph in 4.1 seconds and reach a top speed of 183 mph or 295 km/h. More details on the Vanquish Volante are limited for the moment and will be announced close to its debut.
