The beautifully stunning Vanquish Zagato concept will live a long and prosperous life because the British exotic manufacturer has decided to deliver a 99-unit production series.
We’re always thrilled when a one-off becomes a full-fledged production run model – even if those 99 units will be snatched in a heartbeat. Apparently Aston and Zagato have been gratified with “unprecedented customer interest” – so they decided it was in order to make the jump to the factory floor. The mesmerizing Vanquish Zagato was presented officially to the world’s public during the Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este in Italy and it dazed and amazed with its carbon fiber body designed in Milan. So we’re not surprised the prototype will become a 99-unit production limited series – we’re pretty sure all of them are spoken for even though we don’t know the price yet.
Beneath that stupendous styling sits Aston Martin’s well known naturally-aspirated 6.0-liter V12 which comes with 592 horsepower (441 kilowatts), which is more than in the stock Vanquish where it operates at 568 hp (424 kW). Close to the power developed by the new biturbo V12 sitting inside the DB11, the Vanquish Zagato is capable of reaching 60 mph in just 3.5 seconds. There are no images ready with the production version, but Aston Martin says it will be “closely related” to the concept, including its full carbon fiber body.
