Aston Martin has announced the North American debut for the Vulcan track-only supercar during the 2015 New York Auto Show.
The limited-edition track-only toy Aston Martin Vulcan has been announced for the 2015 New York Auto Show. The model will be introduced in the Big Apple on the 1st of April and this will be the second automotive event attended after the 2015 Geneva Motor Show, where it made its world debut. The Vulcan is Aston Martin’s response to vehicles such as the McLaren P1 GTR and the Ferrari LaFerrari FXX K and its customers will be treated to a racing-style driver training program to learn how to control it because it is extremely intense.
The Aston Martin Vulcan has received a unique front fascia, a large grille integrated into the front splitter, a carbon fiber monocoque, magnesium torque tube with carbon fiber propeller shaft, limited slip differential, carbon ceramic racing discs with 380 mm and 360 mm, front to rear, variable traction control, bespoke suspension system with adjustable dampers and antiroll bars, adjustable ABS and more. Under its hood, we can find the 7.0 liter naturally aspirated V12 engine, which is capable of producing a total output of 800 HP (595 kW). This is connected to a 6-speed sequential transmission. Only 24 units of the Aston Martin Vulcan will be produced and each one will cost 2.3 million USD. Each owner will be trained by professional racing driver through a special program.
